And good news, we don't collect any data. Not even your email address. By using our service, you agree to the non-collection and non-use of any personal information.
What We Collect
RECAM does not collect or transmit private content. However, we store limited, non-sensitive information for usability, including:
- Camera names (user-defined)
- User labels or nicknames
- App configuration settings
Streaming and Storage
- Live video streams are encrypted using the Secure Reliable Transport protocol and sent directly between devices (peer-to-peer).
- Recordings and metadata are always stored locally on your iPhone. They may also be saved to your private iCloud account if enabled.
- FRENCHMOB SAS and the owners of RECAM do not have access to video, audio, or personal media files.
AI Features and Alerts
RECAM uses on-device AI features, including:
- Human/animal detection
- Facial coverage detection (e.g. nose/mouth)
- Sound analysis (e.g. baby crying)
These features are supportive tools, not guarantees of accuracy or safety. False positives and missed events may occur. Use is at your own risk.
Security
All data remains under your control within your Apple ecosystem. FRENCHMOB SAS and the owners of RECAM do not process or access your content.
