Purpose of the App

RECAM is a remote video monitoring application developed and published by FRENCHMOB. RECAM allows encrypted live video streaming from one device to another — iPhone, iPad, or Android phone or tablet, in any combination — using the Secure Reliable Transport protocol. It is available on the App Store for iOS and on Google Play for Android. It is designed for real-time monitoring of spaces such as:

  • Baby rooms (baby monitoring)
  • Pet watching
  • Home and apartment surveillance

RECAM also includes AI-powered features such as:

  • Human and animal detection
  • Facial coverage detection (e.g. covered mouth/nose)
  • Sound analysis (e.g. baby crying)

RECAM is not a medical or certified safety device and should be used as a supplementary tool only.

Data Storage

  • All live video streams in RECAM are end-to-end encrypted using the Secure Reliable Transport protocol. They are established directly between devices when the network permits; otherwise they are forwarded through a relay operated by FRENCHMOB that transmits only encrypted packets it cannot decrypt, access, or store, and which keeps no logs. No live video is stored on RECAM servers.
  • Video recordings are only created when an event is detected (e.g., motion, AI-based trigger) and are always stored locally on the streaming device (iPhone or Android).
  • Depending on your configuration, recordings may also be saved to:
  • The device owner's private iCloud account (when the camera device is an iPhone)
  • A shared iCloud space if the streaming iPhone has been shared with another RECAM user via the app- RECAM servers do not access, view, or store any private content such as video, audio, or user recordings.
  • The only data stored by RECAM servers is limited to operational metadata necessary to enable core app functions (e.g., device association, user labels).

Disclaimer and Usage

RECAM is provided as a supportive tool and is not a substitute for professional surveillance, medical-grade baby monitors, or security systems.

FRENCHMOB SAS and the owners of RECAM are not liable for:

  • Failure to detect events, movement, or sounds
  • Missed or delayed alerts
  • Health or safety incidents
  • Malfunctions or misuse
  • Damages from break-ins, fire, or emergencies

User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • Using RECAM in compliance with local laws, especially regarding video/audio surveillance
  • Informing individuals if monitoring or recording is taking place
  • Note: If you share access to a streaming device, recordings on that device may automatically become visible to the shared user. Access can be revoked at any time from within the app by the device owner.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • FRENCHMOB SAS and the owners of RECAM shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages, including physical, material, or legal consequences, arising from the use or inability to use RECAM.

Intellectual Property

RECAM and all associated technologies, content, and design are the property of FRENCHMOB SAS or its licensors.

Subscription

RECAM Pro is a monthly auto-renewing subscription, cancellable anytime. It is offered through Apple's native in‑app subscription service on iOS and through Google Play's subscription service on Android.

  • Name & Length: RECAM Pro Monthly – 1 month
  • Price: €1.99 per month (price may vary by region)
  • Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID (App Store) or your Google account (Google Play) at confirmation and renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the period.
  • Manage: On iPhone, in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. On Android, in the Google Play Store app under Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.

Free Trial

A one‑month free trial is enabled by default at first launch: every new user enjoys their first month of RECAM Pro free.

Cancellation & Refunds

Subscriptions can be canceled in Apple’s or Google Play’s subscription settings, depending on where you subscribed. Refund requests are handled by the store you purchased from: Apple (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084) or Google (https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637).
